My Students

Through books, students are able to learn lessons they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. As teachers, we are lucky enough to guide students through these experiences.

Instilling a love of books and reading is something teachers aim to achieve everyday.

My school works over time to provide a positive academic, social, and emotional environment for our students. We believe the best ways to create this learning environment is provide ample opportunities for all children to have equal access to the best teachers and the best books!

My Project

Kindergarten lessons go far beyond reading, writing, and math. Every day students learn how to build relationships, work collaboratively with their peers, and self monitor their actions. These lessons do not come from text book or set of curriculum materials, they are learned through experiences and read alouds.

The books in this grant will help my young students make connections to themselves, friends, and families.

These connections lead to discussions that bring students together and build a classroom community.
