Our school is a mastery based school. Students receive multiple opportunities to master the content. Students are working at their level, and are moved within the curriculum at their own pace. Many of my students are struggling in math, and I would like to help them as much as I can.
My students are a wonderful bunch of enthusiastic learners.
They are ready for anything that comes their way! We are working towards mastering the first grade Common Core math standards this year. I also have some students who are English language learners.
My Project
The wipe off boards and dice (both the large and small ones) will enable my students to continue to work towards mastering the math curriculum during their independent work stations. I see them using these resources on a daily basis to help enrich their content knowledge. The math calendar will allow us to review needed skills daily through continuous practice. My students need addition puzzles, a number line, calendar and place value chart, wipe off boards, foam dice big and small, and one hundreds boards.
These math dice, wipe off boards, and math calendar board will give my students daily practice with addition and subtraction, reading a calendar, basic place value, estimation, and other areas of the first grade math standards.
