This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager for art! They love any opportunity to be creative and use their imagination. I am hoping to provide an outlet for all this creative energy by integrating more art in my classroom. Please help us fund the supplies we need to make this happen!

My students come from very diverse, socio-economic backgrounds, but they all arrive to school with one goal - "Make College for Certain!" At our school, hard work brings success your way, regardless of the challenges you face at home.

We have high expectations for our students academic achievement and carefully plan to give each student the tools they need to be "college ready."

My Project

I am hoping to provide my students with some new art supplies as I incorporate more art in my science curriculum. My students are highly engaged when it comes to art, and what better way to teach them to love science than incorporate some creative projects to extend their learning?! I also asked for some science books and resources that focus on the concepts we will be learning in 4th and 5th grade. We have a very small resource library for science topics, and these resources will help immensely!

Art and music are slowly slipping from our classrooms.

Yet these are activities our students cherish. Help me save the arts, one class at a time, by providing us with some new art materials to use in other content areas!
