My students need Dr. Seuss Classics Books to improve literacy, construction paper, craft tape, jumbo craft sticks, vinyl aprons, and other materials for our art center.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Learning starts when the students enter the room. Each morning the students enter the room and can expect a bell ringer to help them start their day. After this, Circle Time begins the rest of the day. The students are eager to check in and receive their message board of what the day will look like.
My students are early childhood learners in the Pre School Program for Children with Disabilities/PPCD.
They are bright students who learn differently. My students have sensory, cognitive, physical, emotional and communication disabilities and some intensive one on one instruction. My students are ages 3 to 5, who are eager and active participants in the program. They enjoy school and working with their peers. I would describe my school as one where students, students learning and student engagement is part of our mission for our students. My school serves underprivileged children, again who are bright students who may learn differently.
Dr, Seuss Classics books will help improve literacy and early language skills in my diverse learners. The vinyl aprons, construction paper, craft tape, no spill paint cups, paint cup containers, jumbo craft sticks, teacher aprons, pompoms, and teacher caddy will improve the student art center given the needed materials to make and build models, drawing and painting pictures, and wiggly eyes will add to the student art center and provide materials for creativity, increase pre-handwriting/fine motor skills, and allow the teacher ready access to materials to model and use for the students. The paint cups and holders will assist my student who is confined to a mobility device with limited range of motion access to painting and craft work using paints and brushes. The construction paper will allow expressive communication for my students who are non verbal, and who are students diagnosed with Autism express themselves and engage in the planned activities using a variety of materials.
Donations to this project will improve my PPCD Classroom by giving us needed materials that will meet the learning needs of my student population, differentiated to meet their individualized educational goals.
Art materials and donations will give students manipulatives and materials to work actively an consistently. I feel that it will boost their esteem given them an opportunity for creativity without limits. My students love to scribble, use dot markers, paint, and paste.
