This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach an amazing group of 3rd-graders at a high poverty, inner city public school, in Indianapolis.
All of our students are on the free breakfast and lunch program. Many of our students' parents work odd hours, and they barely get to spend time with their children. I have some students being raised by a single parent or a grandparent. No matter what my students are going through at home, they always try their personal best in the classroom. My students know how high my expectations are for each one of them!
My Project
My students already have a subscription to BrainPop Jr. Now I am requesting BrainPop. BrainPop Jr. has allowed my students to have a better understanding in math and reading concepts. I love BrainPop Jr, but need some additional resources from BrainPop to help my students. BrainPop allows students to watch short video clips, to learn about several different subjects. I really like using BrainPop for math, because it keeps the students engaged in learning, and sometimes helps students catch on when they are stuck on a new concept. My students also find it very entertaining. Just hearing them giggle during the short clips makes me smile.
With your help, kindness, and generosity, all of my students will be able to grasp new concepts, in all subjects, especially math, and continue to grow.
They will be thrilled to hear that they have additional resources to help them with new and required concepts.
