My Students
My wish for my students is they fall in love with reading! During Independent Reading time, several of my students continue to ask me for books they want. I thought DonorsChoose.org could help me make their wishes come true with some fun books!
My school is full of different personalities, different reading levels, and different culture, however, we are one community.
My school is special because we are small and focus heavily on pushing children to achieve the best they can be not just for elementary school but for high school, college, and beyond.
Our school is special, we focus on the individual student and that is why my book choices are heavily focused on what I know my kids will read. I strongly believe in finding a passion for reading but we can't expect students to do that if the books they are reading don't interest them!
My Project
My vision for my classroom is to create a love for books and reading! If these books are funded I can just imagine the look on my kids faces when I add them to the library! They have been asking for Who Would Win books and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, I'd be so excited to create so much love in my classroom!
During Independent reading currently, only 20 minutes, students are having a hard time finding a book they like.
I would too if I wanted to read a non-fiction book and had limited resources. With these books, my classroom will change dramatically! Students will want to read, they will want to continue their next chapters, and hopefully create a love for reading.
