Practice, practice and then practice some more. Baseball season will be here soon. 60 players will be on the field daily for field practice and batting. As you can imagine, we go through a tremendous amount of baseballs.
Our high school is an amazing place, where students are encouraged to strive for academic excellence, while also pursuing their dreams.
My students are scholar athletes, who work equally hard in the classroom and on the baseball field.
The students on the team are extremely dedicated and motivated. Over 60% of our players maintain a 3.5 GPA or above. They are role models for our school and community. Their experience playing high school baseball teaches them to work as a team, develop time management, and set goals for themselves.
Our players learn the value of hard work. They are always striving to be be better and learn from both their success and failures. The game of baseball gives them many of the real life skills that they will need in the future.
My Project
Imagine a warm Southern California evening, the lights glowing above a beautiful field, music is flowing though the loud speakers, stations are set up, the players and coaches work in what seems like perfect harmony - I often wonder the actual amount of baseballs hit in a single practice, a week, a month!
We go through a huge number of baseballs each season. It is the most basic essential of the game. The balls will be used for warm up drills, individual and team hitting drills, base running drills, team defense and position -specific defensive drills.
Having the proper equipment, which includes such simple items as baseballs, is necessary to keep our baseball program working.
Limited budgets make it difficult to replenish them throughout the season. Your generous donation will help our team to continue to practice and play they game that they love.
