My Students

Our classroom is short on space but LARGE on learning! I need a compact listening center that is organized and accessible for all learners regardless of where they sit in the room. This unit is on wheels and compact so it is easy to move and use!

Our children live in high poverty and don't have the outside resources to give them a head start in the world.

I want my kids to have the same chances and tools to keep them on the road to college. Any tool that can help them read with fluency and confidence is what we need in our classroom.

My Project

My students will use this listening center daily as a resource to build fluency and read aloud skills. They will benefit greatly from this center and gain confidence in reading, and speaking, aloud in front of our group. This will also build relationships in the classroom both academically and socially.

One of the biggest challenges of my second graders is reading fluency.

Books on tape will help my children build fluency by listening to others read, model and copy "what good readers do!"
