My students need 4 sets of AngLegs to use for hands-on demonstrations to help aide in understanding of abstract concepts related to angles, triangles, and trigonometry.
Students start out learning to play and playing to learn in Kindergarten, and somewhere along the way, they lose the enthusiasm they once had for new knowledge. I try to maintain that learning by "playing" can continue even through high school. Anglegs are a fun way to expand student's knowledge!
My students are all unique learners with different challenges.
All of them are on individualized education plans to address their learning needs. By providing hands-on tools, my students can use their strengths and address their weaknesses to rise to their full potential. My students are energetic and active learners who desire to learn like the rest of their typically developing peers.
My Project
These Anglegs can be used to cover a variety of topics in Geometry. By putting a tool into the students hands, they take ownership over their knowledge, and can go deeper into the content through exploration. There is nothing better than hearing an enthusiastic "Wow! NOW I get it?" or "Hey, did you know that I can do this?" By sponsoring our project, you will help create these moments.
Anglegs are plastic visual aides in various lengths that snap together and can be manipulated to create triangles, polygons, and other geometric shapes. Anglegs also come with protractors that students can use to measure angles and lengths.
This project is so important because my students struggle everyday to be counted.
They have the same expectations as their peers, and they deserve to have the same enriching, educational experiences that help them achieve the high expectations we have for them.
