My Students

Do you remember the day you learned what your name began with? How your name started the same way as your favorite food... H like hot dog! These hands on letter and letter sound activities will help our kindergarten students make connections and become life long readers!

Our fantastic students are from a variety of cultures, languages and economic backgrounds.

They come everyday with smiles on their faces ready to learn and do their best! I learn more and more from them each day! The children come from a diverse family backgrounds but when we are all together we create a school wide family!

My Project

These hands on alphabet materials with allow students to practice with out the use of paper! Practice makes permanent and only then can children begin to make connections to their own lives. These books will give them exposure to one of the most accomplished children's author in NH. The non-fiction text will help them gain new vocabulary and build more background knowledge!

This project is meaningful to me because the materials are for the entire kindergarten!

There are now over 148 kindergarten students in our elementary school. Our kindergarten team is dedicated, hard working and makes every child feel important! This project is for such a large group of children and the magnificent woman I work along side with!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
