This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Please help us charge our robots. Dead robots are no fun and waiting for them to charge one by one is similar to watching paint dry.

I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of learners.

I work with students with autism, specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and students who may benefit from small group interventions. Close to 90% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch, and about 60% of our students are English language learners.

My Project

We will use the charging station to charge our tablets. We need the tablets charged because we will use them to control our robots. This will ensure the tablets are ready to use for my students to enhance their computer programming skills. Robotics is a new and exciting way for my students to learn coding. The cords will be use to charge our robots at the same time. The laminating sheets will be use to laminate my collection of LEGO challenge cardstock cards. By laminating them it will give them extra durability. These cards are a great way to for my students to spend a couple of minutes doing some STEM learning.

By providing my students with opportunities to code, they will be more likely to take computer classes in the future.

It is my hope that we can make a small difference in my students lives, that will eventually lead them to ideas and innovations that will make big changes in their future.
