My students need a charging stations for their iPads. I was able to purchase (used) iPads to implement a 1:1 program in my classroom but we still need a charging station.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my classroom starts by students walking in and greeting each other with a smile. They walk into the classroom, take out their iPads, and get ready for the fun. It's amazing how excited the students are to start the day.
My third graders are amazing.
I really can not describe how they are using 1000 characters because it wouldn't be enough. I am thankful to have the opportunity to work in my school. Many of my students are Hispanic and come from a low socioeconomic status. This is not an obstacle because my students are always eager to learn. I am enthusiastic about instructional technology and believe that it can change the future of our schools. For this reason, I purchased 19 iPads using my own money to implement a 1:1 program where my students would be able to take the iPads home to complete homework. My classroom has changed tremendously since the implementation of the iPads. The students are excited to learn, engaged, focused in learning, and best of all, they all are showing improvement. It brings tear to my eyes seeing them become independent learners.
My Project
Starting a paperless classroom is not easy. I have to plan daily to ensure my program is effective. Students are getting used to the format of our new classroom. The classroom is clutter-free, spacious, inviting, and full of activities. Students work in groups and create projects together. We are so excited about this year's new challenges, but we are also in need of your help. Schools are low in resources and the teacher (me) too. After finding the best deals through eBay, in average, I spent about 7000 dollars buying the used iPads and chargers. It was hard to make this purchase, but I can't complain. It was worth it! Now I am running low in funds to buy a charging station for the iPads. Every weekend, I have to take the iPads home. It is very tiring having to take them home and charging them individually every Friday. Having a charging station would really make a difference.
Your donation will change our classroom because students will have a place to secure their iPads and charge them.
You will be part of this program that is changing the way my students learn. My students are extremely thankful for the opportunity they are getting through the 1:1 program. With your help, my students will be able to continue getting the best education they deserve. It is my dream to make a real difference in students' lives. I know I am not alone.
