Obviously, we live in a technology driven world filled with computers, tablets and more. I researched the effectiveness of iPads in classrooms and would love to have one for my students. With free apps available, I know we can use these in centers and with our projector daily.
Our Pre K-5th grade school is one of the feeder schools in town.
We have over 500 wonderful students here! I am a Pre K teacher who has taught other grade levels in the past. Though it is not easy, our school is one that works hard to bring technology to our students. Our students truly love and embrace technology resources we have.
My Project
Without a doubt, we live in a world filled with technology unlike ever before. At times though, it is difficult for schools to receive additional funding for extra resources. I offer technology lessons to my Pre K students daily. My goal this year is to implement another tablet to our classroom. Our school currently has our own iPad app website, I can see how many great apps are out there. I would place an iPad in centers and use it with our class white board. In Pre K classrooms, students learn A is for Apple and B is for Ball. I would like for my students to learn "I" is for iPad! With help in purchasing an iPad mini and case, my students and I could use it daily for center work. We could use it by combining it in a whole class setting with our whiteboard, as well.
