Mrs. G. from NC is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need an iPad (3rd Generation) for Cultural Arts activities to promote creativity, versatility and innovation.

Imagine being able to compose, choreograph, design, make videos, edit your work, and create a piece of artwork all on one device. What fun it would be to do all of this with the swipe or tap of your fingers.
Our high school has an enrollment of approximately 1085 students with only one visual arts teacher, one band director, one choral director and one dance teacher.
The students live in and around a small eclectic town with farming roots. Though many of the families have a farming background, there is a very strong military family presence in our community. This very fact brings into our school students and staff of many backgrounds and influences. Overall we maintain a rigorous, relevant, and safe academic environment that is always guided by positive relationships.
The visual and performing arts are motivational and promote active, multifaceted styles learning. Because technology has changed the way students perceive and learn, teachers also have to change the way in which instruction is delivered. This resource would give our students an opportunity to better compete in this technology driven world. Often the arts require students to work outside of the conventional classroom, the iPad is a flexible portable resource that would provide a variety of options to this dilemma. The iPad would provide our students and teachers with an opportunity to participate in cross-curricular learning in a digital format. Students would be able to explore drawing and painting, photography, critique, choreography, graphic design, movie-making, and composing through applications that are easily accessible and inexpensive. These apps would allow students and teachers the opportunity to transfer traditional skills and knowledge to new digital 21st century format.
We can't put an iPad(3rd Generation) in the hands of every art student or teacher, but with your donation we can put at least one in our Performing and Visual Arts Department.
This resource would advanced and enhance the skills that our students and teachers need for this technology driven global environment.
