My Students

My students are growing up in a world where technology is all around them. They need to be able to improve their skills and increase their confidence when accessing technology in an academic setting.

Brown International Academy is an I.B.

school that serves preschool through 5th grade in Denver, Colorado. We are fortunate enough to live in a state that has beautiful weather, incredible mountains and wonderful people. Our students are a perfect reflection of our state: beautiful, incredible and wonderful learners.

My Project

Our students need computers to use on a daily basis. We are requesting 5 chrome book laptops that they will use in order to increase reading, writing and research skills. These computers will be used on a daily basis to access accelerated reader, which encourages students to engage in their reading and assesses them on comprehension. They will also be used during writing time to research topics, write stories and publish work on google drive. They are essential to our classroom and will allow our students to grown academically throughout the year and for years to come.

This project will help tremendously in our classroom.

As a public school, we do not have the funding in order to buy student computers and other sorts of technology. By funding this project, you will help our students access the materials necessary to be 21st century learners and gain computer skills needed in this world today.
