Blowing Up Science

My students need a camera that can project dissections, present their work, and zoom in on microscopic life, so they may experience the richness of Science.

My Students

Can you imagine the complicated life of microscopic organisms? Or the complexity of the inside of your cheek cells? Or even the connections between all of your organs? My scholars want to learn Science, and need to see life in order to experience it.

My students are excited about their Science class.

They are prepared and ready to learn for every class and activity. My students are extremely dedicated to their school; this is unique because we are an urban, Title 1 school with 99% free lunches provided to them. These middle school students are fantastic examples for the younger students in the school. They are smart, dedicated, and passionate. Their ideas and enthusiasm spread throughout the community.

My Project

Although my school has managed to keep class sizes small so that the students can receive more attention, due to the small classes we also have a limited budget. This is hard to rectify for a public school. As a Science class I try to expand my students' scientific horizons so that high school is an easy step on their path to success. We are going to use the camera constantly with our 8th grade scholars to enlarge the parts of cells and other miraculous sections of life so that they may explore it together.

This camera is versatile with its applications, it will also let me be just as versatile engaging students in Science.

This will help my visual learners engage directly and coherently as a class. EVERYONE can participate and discover the joys of Science!
