Our students come from different backgrounds, some come from local farms, others from rental apartments, but they all come together during the school day to learn and grow together. I see students from every background come into my media center, and I see how many of them love to read. Some of the poorest students spend the most time in the media center, and I think it would be educational and invigorating for them to read some of their favorite books on Kindles. It would be a great way to expose them to technology that they cannot afford at home, and it would be a way to keep them engaged and motivated to read more.
