My school is part of one of the largest school districts in the United States. We are an elementary school (PreK - Grade 5) in lower Alabama with 725 students. My students come from a variety of backgrounds; many from military families, others from low-income families. We do not receive any funding for our school library from the school district. My students are readers that enjoy a variety of subjects and genres. My students enjoy being recognized for their reading accomplishments as well as other educational areas.
