In the past few years, we have been pushing students at our school to be mores prepared for life outside of High School. One way we have done that is to introduce students to the best technology that will exist once they graduate. We want them to be versed in all technology so they can succeed not only at the next level but in the workforce. My Engineering/Technology classroom contains students in grades 9-12 at various points during the day. Students enjoy using any technology that is cutting edge and new and a Makerbot 3D printer will be right down their wheelhouse. Students come in with a wide variety of technological skills, but all with a thirst for more knowledge when it comes to something new. I teach a variety of Engineering/Technology classes: Intro to Engineering Design, Digital Electronics, Engineering Design and Development, CAD, and Computer Design. Each of these classes will be able to broaden their horizons with use of a Makerbot 3D printer.
