Each week over 600 students come through my classroom where we explore music through speech, movement, and of course, instruments! These students range in age from kindergarten up to fifth grade and come to music class in groups of 25-30 students at a time. They are very energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. Over the course of a school year, we explore the different elements of music, such as rhythm, tempo, dynamics, and pitch, through shared musical experiences. We stay very busy! We are very lucky to have a bright and cheerful new classroom, but we still have many empty shelves to stock with instruments and supplies to enrich our music lessons.
