What is a Tipping Point Offer?

A Tipping Point funding offer is a way for a corporation or foundation to bring the cost of selected projects down to $99.

Here's how it works:

  • The corporation or foundation selects the eligibility criteria for projects (by subject area, school location, etc).
  • Teachers submit projects at DonorsChoose.org. Once these projects are posted, Tipping Point funding is applied so that only $99 is needed to complete each project’s funding.

Please note that there is no special application process for consideration, so all you have to do is submit a project! Tipping Point funding is applied to projects every two weeks.

A list of current funding opportunities is distributed to all registered teachers monthly via our teacher newsletter. You can also view these opportunities via our teacher homepage, under “Announcements.”
