How do I transfer materials from a vendor website to my project shopping cart in Step 2 of the submission process?
If you are having trouble transferring your requested materials from the vendor site to your project shopping cart, please follow the step by step instructions below to ensure that your requested items are saved to your project request!
- Log in to your DonorsChoose.org account, click on your draft project and go to step 2 of the submission process.
- Click “Request Materials Using eSchoolMall”.
- Select the Express Website vendor of your choice by choosing the vendor and clicking “Go To Website”. A new window will appear. Note that the window will be:
- The vendor’s website or
- A white screen that says, “click here if you do not see the vendor’s website”. Click on the blue link and the vendor’s website will appear.
- Search for your first item by entering a keyword or item number. Click on the item you want and add it to your cart.
- Continue in this fashion, adding all of the items you'd like to your cart, then proceed to check out.
- Make sure you complete the vendor’s check out procedure. You will not need to input any personal information. You will not be billed, but the items will be added to your eSchoolMall cart.
- Once you have successfully completed the vendor’s checkout process, the window will close automatically. You will see a page labeled “eSchoolMall”. Click the gray “View Cart” button to review your cart in eSchoolMall.
- Review your items in eSchoolMall and click “Checkout” and “Complete Order and Submit to DonorsChoose.org.”
- The window will close and your cart will then transfer to your proposal in your teacher account. If the window does not close automatically or you do not see your materials appear on the proposal page, you may need to click your browser’s refresh button. You may then continue through the submission process.
Be sure to complete steps 7-9 carefully--this will help you to save your cart in eSchoolMall and transfer it properly to your project.
