When will I receive materials funded late in the school year or over the summer?
For year-round schools:
If you teach at a year-round school, we will continue to order materials for your fully-funded project(s) through the summer.
For schools on a traditional calendar:
Approximately 40 days before your school closes for the year, DonorsChoose.org will put a hold on purchasing funded materials for your school until next school year. We hold orders during summer vacation to help prevent delivery mishaps that could result in lost or stolen materials.
DonorsChoose.org bases school open and close dates on information compiled by our school data provider. Projects funded and confirmed at least 40 days before your school closes will be ordered and shipped this school year. All other orders will be held until your school is back in session. You can check the status of your order under “Project Status” in your teacher account.
Please note:
Magazine subscriptions will be delivered to your school according to the vendor's subscription schedule found here.
Projects can still be submitted, posted, and funded over the summer. If your project is fully funded during the summer, please make sure you respond to our funding notification email within 6 days (as usual) to secure your funding for next school year.
