If my project is partially funded and it expires, what happens to the donations?

When a partially-funded project expires without full-funding, the donor's gift is returned to them in the form of account credits. These can be used to fund a new project at DonorsChoose.org. If the credits are not applied to a new project within 30 days a DonorsChoose.org staff member will apply the funds to a project in need.
