Is uploading a classroom photo of my students safe?
DonorsChoose.org cares about the safety of you and your students. Before you upload any classroom photo to DonorsChoose.org, please remember to:
- Get it in writing. Obtain signed permission slips from students’ parents before posting any photographs to your DonorsChoose.org account. (These slips are for your records, so do not send them to DonorsChoose.org.) Download a sample permission slip
- Keep your location top-secret. Do not submit photographs or project essays that reveal your school name, room number, city, county, or district.
- Refrain from close ups. Do not submit any close-ups of individual students.
If you encounter anything at DonorsChoose.org that might compromise students' privacy, please notify us immediately using the Contact Form for Teachers or through the link at the bottom of the project’s page.
