" MORE "My first grade class is made up of a wide range of ethnicities, abilities, learning styles, languages, socio-economic factors, etc. However, there is one area in which all students are created equal. I call it the WOW Factor!
The WOW Factor is that moment when you look out at your class of learners, and see every single pair of ears/eyes focused intently on the lesson at hand. You know without a doubt that the students are totally engaged and engrossed in the subject matter.
Due to the wide range of abilities in my ESL classroom, it is sometimes difficult to have a WOW lesson as often as I'd like. My ESL students require hands-on visual/auditory learning to help them grasp difficult concepts. I need the ability to be able to look at them while I'm teaching, which is hard to do when you are writing on the board, with your back to your class.
The Sharp Multimedia DLP Projector would be the tool that would help guarantee the WOW Factor in the classroom. It would help me to provide visual instruction in tandem with vocal direction. This approach reinforces learning with my ESL and Special Ed students in a manner that is interesting, engaging, and motivating.
Not only would this benefit my ESL and Special Ed students, but the entire class as well! No more crowding around the teacher's computer to see an awesome PowerPoint presentation on volcanoes--the projector puts it up for ALL to see!
Our campus has a shared computer cart with a projector. With over 30 teachers trying to schedule this one cart, it makes it difficult to count on as a classroom resource. When I have the cart in my classroom, I can see first hand what a difference this tool makes in student behavior, engagement, and application. In short, it is what helps the teacher turn a good lesson into a WOW lesson!
Please help my students maximize their potential by helping to provide quality technology for years to come!
My project needs a Sharp Multimedia Projector.
