The only constant is change. Therefore we have to change with our students.
My students are 7th graders that live in a rural community in Nebraska.
We have K-12th grades on one campus. They attend a great school that has been at the top of state testing year in and year out. These students are motivated to learn through technology.
My Project
These Chromebooks would change my students lives a great deal. A few ways these Chromebooks would change my students lives would include using google apps. We do this now but can't always get on the computers. My whole class is set up online for students to use. They absolutely love but we can't always access this great feature. Some of the great features we would plan to use would be sharing documents for editing and revising our papers. Also we would use the announcements on web pages for discussion boards (old school journaling). Another item that Chromebooks would allow us to do it make videos for classroom use. My students beg for technology and I am trying to supply it for them everyday. Also I would be able to supply the Chromebook for students to check out and take home if needed.
This project will change the way my students look at technology.
They won't look at it as a want but as something that they have to have to be productive in society. Whether it is by them going to college or the work force they will need to be savvy with technology and I am trying to provide the to them with these great Chromebooks.
