"Our first grade class of 26 friendly boys and girls spend a lot of our time away from our desks. Our classroom has hard floors without carpet or rugs. We enjoy reading around the room and would love to have a soft place to curl up with a book. Our reading corner has pictures, lamps, plants and nice bookshelves - but it's missing something cozy!
Our school is in a north Chicago neighborhood, serving a very diverse student population. Funds are lacking to provide additional resources for our students. We rely on helpful community members to assist our children.
We are asking for you to help us fund this literacy center furniture. Their bright colors and soft backs will make our enjoyable classroom feel more like home. The cost of the Furniture is $430, including shipping and fulfillment Mr. H.'s Classroom:
