Owl pellets are a fantastic environmental lab students will never forget. Owl pellets are a natural teaching tool and a fantastic example of the food chain, the principles of ecology, animal structure and function, skeletal anatomy, and natural history. The deluxe classroom owl pellet kit comes with eight posters: bone sorting, food web, vole skeleton, bird skeleton, mole skeleton, shrew skeleton, human/vole skeletal comparison, and pellet formation. It includes set of fifteen 8 1/2" x 11" bone sorting sheets and 30 large, heat sterilized, individually wrapped barn owl pellets. A teacher's guide provides suggested teaching strategies, background information, laboratory guide, projects skull keys, and references. I will need five kits to supply all of my students.
