My students need Lego sets in order to learn academic and social skills.

My Students

Learning through play! We need to learn functional academic, social and life skills through play.

My students are an amazing group of special education students with autism.

They are in a self-contained classroom, with additional staff support, to provide them with the individualized education they need and deserve, while working on academic and social communication skills. In our classroom, we celebrate each student's unique learning styles.

My Project

These sets of Legos will be used in a variety of ways in our classroom in order to learn academic, social, and life skills. Through building with Legos, we will learn how to appropriately interact with our peers. We will learn team work, taking turns, and how to socialize with those around us. Academically we will learn amazing things. Among the concepts we will be able to learn are fractions. We can piece together a variety of fractions to learn about the part/whole ratio and relationship.

These donations will make a huge impact on an amazing group of students who face additional struggles each day in the classroom due to their disability.

They will be learning functional skills they will be able to use out in society to help them adjust to the environment around them.
