"I am an 8th teacher from Gallistel Language Academy. My student population is 97% Hispanic. Our test scores are on the rise but they do not do well in vocabulary. Most of my students come from Spanish speaking homes so it is their weak area. I want to help them increase their vocabulary and I have found a book that I think would help them immensely. "Vocabulary Cartoons" Word Power Made Easy. It has been proven that students who use this book learn up to three times more words on independent school test. It makes Vocabulary fun, just like reading comics. It uses rhyming mnemonic as a form of word association and visual mnemonics. I have witnessed improvement using this book in small group. I think it would help my students enrich their vocabulary and help them do better on their test and in their writing. Having this book available for my reading students would give them a tool to help them improve their writing and reading skills and help them perform better on their tests. Thank you in advance for helping me give my students the tools they need to improve their vocabulary skills.
The cost of 30 copies of Vocabulary Cartoons: Elementary Edition from Barnes and Noble is $486, including shipping and fulfillment Ms. E.'s Classroom:
