My Students

Sharing smiles is something that I think is really important in school. I also believe that creating a strong classroom community is vital. My class loves our sock monkey collection!

I teach an amazing group of second graders in a diverse school in Brooklyn.

Our class has a vintage sock monkey collection and my students absolutely love them! For the past 3 years, students have posed in our class picture with our monkeys! They are a big part of our class identity.

My Project

Ron Warren is the world's biggest sock monkey collector. He has over 2,000 sock monkeys. Arne Svensen is a photographer who is photographing Ron's sock monkeys. I would love for each of my students to be able to have a copy of Ron and Arne's book, Sock Monkey. It is a photography book that highlights some of Ron's favorite sock monkeys. We love looking at it in class. I want to provide my students with a book that will make them laugh and smile!

Your donation will ensure that my students will be able to have a book that they will cherish forever.

You will provide my students with have a special keepsake of second grade. This present will provide countless smiles and lots of joy.
