My Students

I always have students come back and tell me they still have the yearbook I made for them, so I know this is a very special treasure for them. I take hundreds of photos and then create an everlasting memory they can look back on. They also like to make their own little books.

I have a very diverse classroom.

Ability levels range from below basic to gifted and talented. We also have fully included children with special needs that are in the moderate to severe category. Socioeconomically, again my class is quite diverse coming from varying economic households with varying resources available to them at home.

My Project

The children feel so proud of their work when it is put into a "real" book. We would be able to print our own photos and print pages for their books. These supplies would motivate them more to complete their writing projects. Having the opportunity to create their own books is a real incentive for them to finish their work. Along with being able to make their own bound books, the children love having their yearbook showing so many pictures from their year. They can look back and see all the great things they did all year. Rather than spend over $500 every year on having this done elsewhere, I thought I could make the entire yearbook myself. I can also use the supplies to create individual books made by the students and make them look more professional...they love this!

The book binding machine and supplies to print and bind books will be a tremendous addition to the class.

Everlasting memories of their school year are priceless! They will treasure them for a long time! They become more motivated to write and really enjoy creating projects that can be printed and bound to last. I know they will appreciate being able to have them as well as their yearbook I make for them.
