This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students and iPods go hand in hand. And with iPods in hand my students can become better learners. Having a tool such as this can open doors to new ideas and understanding with access to books and research.

My students started the school year very enthusiastic about our classroom books, in which I had to continuously ask them to leave our little library, because we had to get work done.

Every chance they had, they would head to the library to check out a book they had not read. Now the library is merely walked by. My students are good readers, but they can be great readers.

My Project

IPods in the classroom will bring a large collection of books to the students, and will greatly benefit them. All the books available through these apps will be as close as can be. My students want to read, do research, and want to use technology. With iPods in the classroom they can have both.

This project is very important because of the limited resources available to us.

We have students that struggle to read, simply because our classroom doesn't have books that interest them. Having a book collection and access to do research, will greatly change that mentality and create greater learners.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
