This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help our kindergarten class and save our eyes! The computer monitors in our class are over 15 years old. They are getting blurry and it is hard to see our computer screens!

Our class is a lively and caring kindergarten class of 25 students.

Our class and school is made of diverse children with diverse backgrounds, languages,and socio-economic statuses. Our children include English language learners and special education students.

My Project

Supporting our project would mean 3 new computer monitors for our class to update our aging ones. We would also have access to our resources with 4 new headphones. All students, even kindergartners, deserve to have access to technology. In the coming years, California will adopt a new set of standards for learning, of which technology is a main component. In order for our class to have access to that technology, we need-up to-date materials.

With our 3 new computer monitors and additional headphones, our class will be able to access technology.

With all the changing products and updated technology, our schools lack the funds to keep up. What a difference to have updated resources to have our children learn with, rather than outdated ones.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
