My Students

I have a wonderful Third Grade at an urban school. The majority are first or second generation Asian emigrants. I feel so lucky that most of their families are culturally supportive of education (although not affluent) and that the children are eager to learn.

We have a chair shortage, so there is no such thing as a "broken" chair!

The chairs are of mixed styles, and some are too small or too large because they are for other grade levels. Many have un-level feet, which doesn't help the restless students focus.

My Project

Chairs should not be older than the students' parents. Please help me provide an environment deserving of these children. My goal is enough to furnish the whole class, funded through multiple proposals. Thanks to DonorsChoose, I am just four chairs from my goal! However, four in my class still have "chair envy." Let's make it fair.
