My Students

Have you had a moment as an adult when you discovered a project you made when you were five and in kindergarten? What a thrill to know that your parents saved your treasures as a snapshot of your kindergarten experience. I want my students to experience that same feeling.

My students are readers, writers, spellers, mathematicians, artists and creators.

They work diligently everyday to grow and learn. They create amazing work to display at school and then to take home to share with their families. They love taking home their treasures to put on the fridge to share with their families. My students attend school in a K-5 elementary school with approximately 275 students. Over 75% of the students receive free and reduced lunch.

My Project

I am requesting a laminating machine and laminating pouches. This will allow me to laminate the work my student's create. When their work is laminated and hung up at school, my students feel so proud and accomplished. They love being able to take their work home to share as well. I want my students' treasures to be keepsakes for their families. As a mom myself, I love keeping the special things my children make. As I look at them. I fondly remember each grade and how they have changed and grown. I want my student's parents to have that same feeling. I want them to treasure their child's work forever. By laminating their work, parents will be able to safely keep the items to treasure forever.

I LOVE watching my students grow as learners.

I am so proud when they produce a wonderful piece of work. By laminating their work, students know I value their efforts, and they take pride in their work and their learning.
