Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my student are second language learner having bright colored picture help them relate things to their own language. Hands on center will help them bring learning to life.

I work at a Title One school with many low income and second language learners.

My students are active and like to work with their hands. Having items that the can see and touch will help them maximize learning. This allows me time to work with other students in small groups.

My Project

Hands on centers will help my students learn in a fun and exciting way. Centers allow students to be active as they learn. Paper and pencil activities often have very little interest for my students. They need activities that they can interact with in a meaningful way. Also, it allows for interaction and collaboration with other students.

These centers will help make learning fun and excited for my students.

They will help them make meaningful connections to everyday reading and writing. Which will help them meet grade level standards.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
