This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

With our district's fast-paced pacing plan, there is little time for students to review concepts after they are taught. Many times, we have to move on even when there are students who don't understand or were absent.

My students love technology!

I use technology when it comes to my math and science lessons and they are completely focused when playing any type of learning game on the computer. They would be really excited to spend some time in the computer lab or with our interactive whiteboard reviewing the skills necessary for their success on the state tests.

My Project

I'm asking for some computer software that I can use on my interactive whiteboard for review in my math classes as well as one program to be loaded onto the computers in our school computer lab so our sixth graders can review for the state tests. The software in the computer lab would also be available for the 4 other sixth grade math classes so we can help make sure that our students can achieve success.

The best part about technology in education is that students don't realize that they are learning and reviewing important skills when they are playing games.

My students really need this resource because they don't have intervention during the school year or summer because of the budget crisis and they need to review all of the concepts required of them. These games would go a long way to improving their skills that will be necessary in school and in life.
