This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Science surrounds the student of today. From the cell phone, to the tablet, to the computer, to the technology they use in the classroom, technological science is all around them. I would like to provide my students with the opportunity to examine the other fields of science with a modern magazine.

I teach in a public school.

Like most public schools in California we are limited in funds. Our students come to us from a wide variety of backgrounds. We have a wide variety of students at our school. Our school population consists of second language learners, migrant students, students from foster homes, special education students (2 classrooms,) students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, students of military parents, gifted and talented students, and students of professional parents.

My Project

My students need a subscription to K SuperScience and Secrets of Science Games Library, to learn more about science and the world around them. My third grade students are just beginning to understand the world around them. The science magazine offers a general explanation of science in today's world that entices young minds to want to ask questions, which in turn leads to learning. I would like my students to be able to experience the world around them through their own student magazine and books

Please help our class learn more about the scientific world that is our home.
