My Students

Do you remember celebrating your birthday in school or being student of the month? Do you remember seeing your work displayed proudly on a bulletin board?

My students are first graders in the New York City public schools.

Many are here for the first time and do not speak English. The students love to come school and they love it even more when we celebrate the most important people in their lives....themselves!

My Project

This projects is for basic supplies that run out every few school years. It includes bulletin board paper and border that can be used to hang students work for all to share. It also includes stickers, crowns, certificates, and chair covers to celebrate students birthdays. Finally it includes name tags for the students to use who still need help writing their names, colors, shapes, numbers, and the alphabet.

Unfortunately due to the economy funding to the schools is often what is cut first.

Teachers are no longer compensated for the money they need to spend to set up their classroom and make it a comfortable and child- friendly learning environment. Without your help I can not afford these extras that truly make the day of the children.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
