Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten students can read if they learn to blend sounds.

My kindergarten students live in a low economic area.

They are of many ethnic backgrounds. The school is an amazing charter school which encourages innovation and tested teaching strategies. The school has adopted the Muttigrees programs and Thinking Maps.

My Project

They will learn to read by repeating sounds with their voices, dragging letters together, listening to how sounds blend together, and copying and writing words. This is a multimedia, multi-sensory approach to teach reading using different modalities.

Support innovation in the classroom.

Sometimes the classroom teacher knows better than the software companies. If this program is a success here, it can be shared with all teachers.
