This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine having access to the world with the simple touch of a finger? This is what my students would be gaining from your generous donations!

I teach 3rd-5th grade Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.

My students are very motivated to use technology and learn new things and most of them know how to use items like iPads/tablets with ease, but do not have the funds to personally purchase them. These students are bused from neighboring cities to our Title 1 school that has very low funds to be able to provide the most current technology to integrate into daily lessons.

My Project

Being Deaf/Hard of Hearing, my students are very visual. They need a lot of pictures and hands-on materials to enhance their comprehension of concepts, vocabulary, and general ideas in daily lessons. By having iPads/tablets, they will be able to look up pictures to match words they do not know and learn by playing in "apps" to increase their skill levels in all areas, primarily reading and math.

By helping to support my project, you will be enabling Deaf/Hard of Hearing students to have a more level playing field when it comes to their education and taking ownership of their own learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
