My Students

The popularity of YouTube illustrates the power of video for self expression and instruction. My students currently don't have equipment to produce class project videos

The majority of my students are economically disadvantaged and don't have access to technology at home.

My students are culturally diverse and like all children they have a variety of learning styles. These children attend a Title 1 school with a student population of approximately 700.

My Project

Student will be able to create video projects that they and other students can view. Many of the projects will be instructional videos so students will become teachers to their peers. Not only will students learn content knowledge they will gain valuable presentation skills

Students get excited when they see themselves or their peers on TV.

A Mac mini will allow my students to become TV stars in their own right. Because the mini is also a storage device, student created projects will be stored indefinitely.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
