My Students

Five months into the school year and I've resorted to bringing in stray golf pencils from stores or whatever I can find or afford to buy to keep my students supplied with pencils and pens. Markers are a luxury!

My students need the basics, but it would be amazing to be able to have 8 portable dry erase wall charts that we could use and reuse for brainstorming or creating images or sharing out information.

With these materials we could generate interesting displays, photograph them to keep records and then reuse everything!

My Project

I'd like materials that are considered basic resources in other schools. I pick up stray pens and pencils from the floor for our pen mug. I bring in whatever I can and have to share, but want to raise our level of work by providing materials that would allow for creative displays that can be changed and reused. I'd like to have pencils for basic things like tests or sketches for imagery connected to what we read.

My project is important because it is green and has a lasting effect.

My students can work with materials that we can reuse and I can share these charts with other departments when we're not using them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
