Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

So far the students have been making science projects with materials from my closet.

The students are comprised of mostly young males attending the charter middle school in southern California.

The students are ambitious and energetic and excited to have engaging activities in the classroom to keep their interest in this elective class.

My Project

The solar kits will enable the students to explore alternative energy sources and use applied mathematics as well. The country is using more solar projects each day and the activity, once completed will remove the students from the classroom to an outdoors activity.

Technology is taught in the classroom today without hands on activities that enable the students to develop a skill that could be used later in their careers.

The schools are challenged today with budget issues that could allow the students to use' imagination that is more important than knowledge".
