Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Isn't technology amazing. Students love to use technology to learn new things.

My students are an eager group of first grade learners.

They come mostly from Limited English Speaking backgrounds. Most of them receive free or reduced breakfast/lunch here at school. Another thing they all have in common is that they all enjoy it when I use the laptop computer for classroom lessons. I teach in a lower socio economic area so the only exposure to technology that most of my students get is here in the classroom. The do not have computers or the internet at their houses.

My Project

Right now I have one lap top in the room that I use to teach math lessons to the students. I would love to be able to have a couple of laptop computers that I could put at a learning center for student use. These lap tops would be used by the students as a follow up to the Math and Science curriculum. I also have many educational computer games that I would love to use with the students.

Your support of this project will help my students be able to use technology to learn new things.

This will open a new world for my students who do not get a chance to use computers or the internet on a regular basis.
