Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you know what it is like to love a book that is part of a series, but can't find the rest of the series? My students want a classroom library full of their favorite series.
My students live in a rural section of Florida.
Some may not have a lot at home, but I want them to have a lot in our classroom! They love to read, they appreciate what they have, and they want to learn. I have noticed that once they find a series of books, they want to stick with it! I want to give them what they want, and that is their favorite series.
My Project
I am requesting many different series of books, such as Baseball Card Adventures, Sammy Keyes, Amber Brown, Encyclopedia Brown and Stink. I am also requesting Book Bins and labels to organize the series so they stay together. These books will make my students so happy. I want to have these series in the classroom, so they can go from one book to another without having to hunt one down in the library. These books will last for many years to come, and will peak the interest of many different students.
Any donation to this project is greatly appreciated.
My students, as well as myself, are thankful. I hope that these books will want the students to read even more than they do already.
