Help Room 203 Move From the 90's into the 2000's!

My students need an updated listening center. I'd like to replace the boom box and CDs that I currently use with 4 iPod nanos and children's headphones!

My Students

Help us update our listening center! Currently, my students are listening to books on CD using my old boom box that I got in the 1990s. With your help, I can teach them about the technology from their own generation, and they can listen to books using iPod Nanos.

I have 27 curious and bright students who are eager to learn!

As new readers, they love books! They are excited by little things and what excites me is this group of students always wants to learn more, even during their free choice time! They have been absolutely loving all the new technology that is being introduced to them. They have had the opportunity to learn to use computers, iPads, a document camera, and a Smart Board this year. I'd like to continue their learning with an up-to-date listening center.

My Project

These resources will allow my students to expand their love of reading and books using an up-to-date technology. They will become experts at using iPods. The iPods will also allow readers to enjoy a story together or independently. Funding this project will free up classroom space because students can take the iPods and books to their desks instead of having to listen to the boom box, which is at a table in a corner of the room.

Please help me introduce my students to a new, updated technology, and allow them to continue to love reading, books, and most importantly, learning!

It's time for this update, considering my boom box is 15 years older than my students!
