My Students

Are you a 21st century learner? My students want to be too! Help us dream big by meeting our technology dreams of an interactive and engaging classroom!

The majority of my ESL students are Spanish speakers that come from families with great financial needs.

About 65% of students at the school where I work are English Language Learners (ELLs), and about 98% of the students receive free and reduced-price lunch. My students are 81 enthusiastic and curious fifth graders who want to be engaged and challenged on a daily basis!

My Project

My students are learning English as a second or third language, so they learn best when they have an opportunity to see and visualize what they are learning about. A tablet will do just that! Having 4 interactive tablets will make learning real and relevant for my students. With 4 tablets, my students will be able to work in groups or individually and utilize web-based resources to complete projects, participate in on-line quizzes, conduct research, and create books on-line. Your donation will impact my students' lives by increasing their academic achievement while also providing them with the skills necessary in the 21st century. My students deserve to use the most up-to-date technology available, so please consider making a difference in my classroom by donating!

My students crave technology, but unfortunately, there are not enough opportunities for the students to use computers because we don't have any computers in my class.
